Miles Davis You're Under Arrest Vinyl LP 1985 in Gatefold Sleeve VG+/VG
1985 release on Columbia Records, Miles Davis’ “You’re Under Arrest” in a beautiful gatefold jacket - featuring all-star lineup including John Scofield, John McLaughlin and the voice of Sting as a French Policeman. Oddball theatrical synth-heavy 80s electro-fusion jazz incorporating spoken word and electronic drums. The artwork alone is certainly collection-worthy (a spoof on Marty Robbins’ 1959 LP “Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs”) but the music (and non-music) itself is something else to behold. An interesting era in the evolution of Miles Davis and unique addition to any record collection.
The LP is a solid VG+ just shy of near-mint, plays perfectly. There is some slight blemish on the cover and the center label from previous price stickers, the sleeve is an overall VG/VG+ with some minor signs of use and wear - inner gatefold artwork is in beautiful shape. The original inner sleeve has been replaced with an archival quality static-free, scratch-resistant poly inner sleeve.
Stored upright in a poly sleeve in a temperature and humidity controlled environment in a smoke-free home. Ships securely in a sturdy whiplash mailer or equivalent. Ships for free within the USA, postage cost is additional outside of the USA. The LP will ship packaged safely outside the sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit.
